- BBQ / Steamboat Buffet
- Cook it Yourself - M Hotel, there are two food outlets provide
this type of buffet.
The coffee house located at the ground is 'Steamboat'. You just cook
your food(Meats,Vegetables, Seafood, noodles.....)in the boiling
stock(you can choose chicken stock, hot and sour stock or Chinese
herbal stock.)
The Maple 6 Restaurant at the second floor provide 'Chinese Fondue',
you can either choose oil to fry or rich stock to cook. Of course,
there are lots of varieties of meat and fish to enjoy. - Ocean

- I have tried several BBQ and steamboat at various places inclusive of restaurants, I still find this joint the BEST PRICED and FRESH STUFF. It is located along Joo Chiat Road named Long Men. Good spread of meat, greens and mee goreng. Visited them twice and I was shocked that they even offer topshell. As for myself I would rate them Best deal in town. - Raymond (sinmah)
- Dimsum Buffet
- There's this dim sum buffet at harbourfront shopping centre, at this restaurant called dragon gate restaurant, must take lift C or D, as
only either C or D goes to the entrance of it. The price is around $16, and it's from 12.30 - 2.30. it's not bad, if you like to eat har kau, siu mai
etc. the desserts are also not bad. You can ask other people for their opinion on this place. - Ryan Teo (Oct 2005)
- Indonesian Buffet
- Indonesian Restaurant- The Rice Table
Delicious buffet dinner! It has 3 branches.. The one located at Suntec,
Tower 2 #03-28 is not bad, but you've got to make a resevation in advance, preferably 2 days before.. Coz it's always full house, especially on
weekends & the buffet is simply worth it ($18.90++) about $22 per pax when the bill comes. The buffet consists of 18 types of indo. Dishes; serve ALL at once when you are seated. The servings are quite small, BUT you can order more if you can't get enough of any particular dish, free flow of rice (all no extra charges). fried chicken, curry chicken, prawns, kang kong, sayar lodeh, beef, otah, fruits salad, soup, fried tofu, beancurd, chips etc.. Can't remember all
The atmosphere is nice, albeit noisy when it's crowded with people. Hey! And also, there's lunch buffet- the food is the same, just that it consist of 14 types (I think) & cheaper. Overall, Thumbs Up! Tel: 6333 0248 - Wang Huiwen
- Ma La Steamboat
-
I know a ma la steamboat restraurant/coffeeshop. Around Sims drive/Avenue. It is buffet, cost only $9.90/pax - nutcracker (2002)
- North Indian Buffet
Mehfil Restaurant at Tras Street. Was there for their lunch buffet - the tandoori chicken is just marvelous. The meat is still tender and juicy. The lamb and briyani rice are also nicely done. Service is excellent. The buffet lunch is only available Mon - Fridays, at $10 per pax. - JaniceTheMenace
Lousy Buffet

High Tea
- For those who love high teas, I have 3 recommendations to make:
- 1) Tim-Sum
The Goodwood Park's Hotel's Garden Seafood Restaurant's Tim Sum
High-Tea is too good to be missed, the queues says it all when it is
held over the weekends. Great food with quite a variety of tim-sums to
choose from. Ambience is good, though noisy with packed customers. Price
is reasonable too. Tim-sum lovers will love this!
- 2) Continental
This recommendation is for the view and for people who wants to be
knocked out by breathtaking views while gouging down your food, it 's
the Compass Rose at the Westin for sure! Service is prompt & good (of
course, considering you are paying so much for it!) Queuing up in the
line to go up to the restaurant is taxing on the nerves, but it's should
be worth every cent once you see the view. I think a trip up there once
in a lifetime will suffice! 31-May-97 - XUESS!
- Concorde Hotel at Havelock
Road, they used to serve one of the longest high-tea in town from 12 - 5 pm.
- Teck Hoe
update: The Concorde buffet is now about $19+++ on weekends. - ye (Oct 2005)
- Goodwood park - Nonya kueh Buffet, (is it still there, anyone?)
- Number 1 Raffles Place - the highest tea, top of the plaza
