
Chut Bee Png reminds me much of the Kampung days when I was growing up in Sentosa Island. We often received Chut Been Png and red eggs when there's a new addition to the family. There are many regional varieties, this is the Hokkien version.Source - Thian's momIngredients: glutinous rice Chinese sausages fatty pork dried shrimps (soaked - keep the water) dried mushrooms (soaked - keep the water) pork fat dark soya sauce light soya sauce fried shallots roasted peanuts (optional) Method: Wash rice and drain. Slice pork, sausages and mushrooms. Fry in pork fat and season with dark and light soya sauce. Add rice and fry for several minutes. Add the water from soaking shrimps and mushrooms. Put in rice cooker and cook as usual. Topped with fried shallots, roasted peanuts and served with a ginger/chillie sauce.
