Thailand Food Tips ........................................................

  • Hi there, I just got back from my 5th visit to Bangkok. Was previously told not to touch the food from the roadside vendors. We stayed in the Indra Regent & the cost of breakfast was $10-$12(au) per person. We tried this a couple of times but were not impressed-eggs, bacon & the like. We were also not impressed with the price. One morning we took an early stroll around the streets outside the hotel & watched the vendors preparing food for the early morning thai workers & decided to give it a try. I have never tasted such delicious egg crepes & marinated kebabs; we had these with exotic fruits & cans of tomato juice from a 7-up store that we'd stumbled across. This mouth-watering wonderful meal cost us the princely sum of $1.25(au) each. The preparation was done with the utmost cleanliness & courtesy. No prizes for guessing where we had all our breakfasts from there on. Your site is a great idea-have been looking for something like this for a long time as I just adore Asian food. Good luck & Best Wishes, - Elayne.
