Indian Bay Leaf
............................................................ Cinnamomum tamala Has a strong somewhat minty taste. It comes from the indian cinnamon tree Cinnamomum Tamala (Thai bay leaf comes from yet another species). It is not the same as European bay leaf which comes from Laurus nobilis though it is used in a similar manner. |

............................................................ Plectranthus amboinicus Of Indian origin but grow wild in the Malaysian region. The thick leaf has a strong aroma and is used by the Indians to flavour meat and as a herbal medicine. |
